How Can I Automatically Deny Texts Through Verizon?
- 1). Navigate to the My Verizon website (support.vzw.com/faqs/TXT%20messaging/FAQ.html) and log in using your Verizon Wireless account information. If you do not have an online My Verizon account, click "sign up" to create one.
- 2). Click the "my services" tab, then click "Verizon safeguards."
- 3). Click "spam controls," then select "Internet spam blocking."
- 4). Enter the phone number from which you no longer wish to receive texts, area code first. If you are receiving nuisance messages from an email address, website or five-digit number, you may enter those here as well and they will also be blocked.
- 5). Click "save" when you're finished. Your phone will no longer accept text messages from those numbers, email addresses, websites or codes.
- 1). Call Verizon Wireless customer service by dialing *611 from your Verizon Wireless handset or call 800-922-0204 from any telephone.
- 2). Enter your account identifying information when prompted and then press "0" to speak with a customer service agent.
- 3). Advise the agent that you wish to enable "VBLOCK" on your phone to block all text, picture and video messages.
Note that VBLOCK blocks all messages, incoming and outgoing, from any number. - 4). End the call when appropriate and power-cycle your phone. Your phone will no longer be able to accept or send text messages.
