    • 1). Plug the calculator in and move the On switch to ON or PRT to also print. Battery-operated calculators do not have to be plugged in.

    • 2). Calculate by entering a number and then pressing either the multiply, divide, subtract or addition signs and then entering another number.

    • 3). Total the calculation by pressing the "*Total" button. This will print a total onto the register and clear the device for the next calculation.

    • 4). Set the decimal place on the calculator by moving the switch to either "+," "F" or "0234" in the decimal area. The + option will set the calculator to automatically place a decimal point to the left of the last 2 digits entered when adding and subtracting. The F option will display as many decimals as the calculator is able. Choosing 0,2,3 or 4 will set the calculator to a fixed decimal setting

    • 5). Round numbers up or down by selecting the up and down arrows in the Round options of the calculator.

    • 6). Figure tax with the help of the Tax buttons. First set the tax by switching to SET under the TAX section. Enter the percentage of tax you want to use. Next switch to the CALC mode under the TAX section. Enter a number and then press the "Tax+" or "Tax-" keys to add or subtract tax.

    • 7). Track side totals by using the Memory keys. Press "M+" or "M-" to add or subtract numbers in the memory total. View the memory by pressing "MS" for Memory Subtotal. Pressing "MT" will provide the total of the memory and then clear the memory. You will know if something is stored in Memory when an M appears on the calculator display.
