Fun Third Date Ideas
- Set up an evening where one of you cooks for the other. By the third date, things are comfortable enough that this should not be deemed as coming on too strong. In fact, it's the perfect opportunity to quietly get to know each other in a setting more intimate than the first or second dates, which probably were public and event-centered. At this point, candles, music and the like are optional as long as the mood is quaint and pleasant.
- The third date is a good time to introduce a day date. Going to the park is casual, and you get to write your own script to the day with no schedule. Make a picnic to take along, and get to know each other as you fly kites, play Frisbee or ride your bicycles. Cap it off by finding a good spot to watch a perfect sunset.
- By now you're likely to have done the standard dinner at a restaurant routine. Why not put a creative spin on it by going to several eateries over the course of an evening? For instance, have appetizers at your favorite place, then let her pick out the dinner spot, and so on. Not only will you have plenty of time to get to talk, but you also will learn a lot about each other as you see the each other's favorite haunts.
- While conversation and getting to know each other are always important, the third date gives you a little wiggle room to express yourself a bit. Karaoke is a way for both of you to have fun, sing your favorite songs and laugh at yourselves a little. Unless you're too shy, consider doing a duet. Either way, this is a way to break the ice and relax.
