Pace Your Success and Persuade Your Patience
Not many people have such incredible luck that they are able to become an instant success and those that rise like a shooting star often burn out like a small glittering meteorite hitting the Earth's atmosphere in the middle of the night.
You see, success requires that you set goals and stick with your plan.
It's a lot like running a marathon, as you have to pace yourself if you want to get there intact.
Now this is not to say that you should slow down and seek the virtue of patience and use that as some sort of excuse.
We all know that to succeed we must work very hard and go for it, we must press-on and those who go the distance are the ones that make the grade.
Those that rest on their laurels, give up or flee at the first sign of adversity, are not the most successful amongst us.
We all realize that to succeed we must set goals and plot a course.
Each subsequent mini-goal we accomplish propels us closer to the personal victories we seek.
It is important to pace ourselves on these artificial timelines we create as mile markers towards our goals.
We must stop briefly and savor the accomplishment of the interim goals and reflect on what we learned to assist us in achieving our next check point quicker and easier.
This is what I call persuading patience and stepping up our timeline through careful study and reflection.
Yes, pace yourself, definitely, but also persuade yourself to pick up the pace as you are able and throw your patience to the wind.
