How to Change the Position of the Toolbar on My Computer

    • 1). Open a Windows Explorer window. For example, click the "Start" button on the Windows taskbar and click "Computer" and a Windows Explorer window will appear.

    • 2). Right-click on the toolbar and click the "Lock the Toolbars" item in the menu that appears to unlock the toolbar.

    • 3). Place the mouse cursor over the dotted line located at the left end of the toolbar. Press and hold the left mouse button when the mouse cursor transforms into a double-arrow.

    • 4). Move the mouse cursor and toolbar to the location in the window where you wish to place the toolbar and release the left mouse button.

    • 5). Right-click on the toolbar and click the "Lock the Toolbars" item if you do not want the toolbar to change positions.
