How to Install A/C Foam
- 1). Cut a length of split foam insulation, using the scissors.
- 2). Slide the insulating foam over the pipe at one end of the split. Push the split foam over the entirety of the pipe.
- 3). Peel off the adhesive backer along one edge of the inside of the split. Press the two edges of the foam insulation together to complete the seal over the copper pipes.
- 4). Wrap a zip tie every 4 inches around the insulation. Tighten each tie just enough to be snug, not over-tight. Snip the excess tail from the tie, using the wire snips.
