    • 1). Place the Matrix in "Park" and allow the vehicle to cool. Jack the vehicle up so you have enough room to work under the car.

    • 2). Pull back the center console mat on the passenger side of the vehicle. You will now see an electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector by pulling it out.

    • 3). Position yourself under the vehicle on the passenger side. Use a wrench and unscrew the oxygen sensor. Pull the sensor out of place. The sensor is now disconnected and ready for cleaning or replacing.
