How to Tissue Paper the Wall

    • 1). Paint or prime the walls if you have any concern about the existing color of the walls showing through the tissue paper.

    • 2). Tear the edges off a sheet of tissue paper and then crumple it up. Open it and lay it flat.

    • 3). Spray a section of wall with spray adhesive. Press the tissue paper into place and smooth it out, leaving a few creases or wrinkles. Make sure all of the paper is stuck to the wall.

    • 4). Continue crumpling paper and applying it to the wall with spray adhesive. Overlap the edges and step back from your work occasionally to make sure you're creating the effect you want.

    • 5). Check to make sure the wall is completely covered when you've finished. Cover blank spaces with small pieces of tissue.

    • 6). Use a roller to paint the tissue paper. Watch out for drips which happen around the creases and wipe them smooth with a small paintbrush.
