Meatloaf is a great family meal, and goes great with almost anything. Mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables are a favourite of mine. Its very easy to prepare and can be ready in under an hour. If you have a busy schedule and have children that are Gluten Intolerant, then this easy to make Meatloaf is just the thing for you. You can add or change a couple of things that may be a staple of your own family recipe.
Easy to make recipe for gluten free meatloaf.
Preheat the oven to 200c or 340f.
1. You will need 450 grams/1 pound of grass fed Lean Ground Beef/Mince. You can check with your local supermarket/butcher to make sure that you are purchasing gluten free beef mince.
2. Prepare or buy 2.4 fluid ounces/ 1/3 of a cup of Gluten free bread crumbs. You can substitute these for rice and even Gluten Free Corn Flakes. Many people have there own alternative to this, and as long as it's Free from Gluten, then go ahead and be creative.
3. 1/2 of an onion finely chopped, or chunky if you prefer more of a bite to your meat loaf.
4. 1 Egg white.
You can add spices too, many people using Oregano, Salt and Pepper and Gluten Free Ketchup. This last ingredient is up to you, depending on how spicey you like it.
Once you have all the ingredients together, simply add the Ground Beef/Mince to a mixing bowl, add the Onion and Bread Crumbs/Rice or alternative and mix together well. You can add your spices now, depending how exciting you like your meat loaf.
Once you have the mixture all ready, simply add to a greased oven dish or loaf shaped oven pan.
Cook in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes, and leave to stand for a few minutes before slicing. You can serve with fresh vegetables and mashed potato.
