How to Copy Files & Folders to a CD

    PC Instructions

    • 1). Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW into the disk drive of your PC computer. After the disk is read, the operating system will prompt you to select an action.

    • 2). Select "Open Writable CD Folder" from the list of available actions and click "OK." A blank window will open on your screen.

    • 3). Highlight the files and folders that you want to copy to the CD, then drag and drop them into the blank CD window.

    • 4). Click on the "Write These Files to CD" option on the left side of the window to begin the copying process. The length of the burning will depend on how many files you are copying.

    Mac Instructions

    • 1). Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW into the disk drive of your Mac computer

    • 2). Open a new "Finder" window by clicking on the icon in the Dock.

    • 3). Select all the files and folders that you want to copy to the blank CD.

    • 4). Go to the "File" menu and select "Burn Items to Disk." The computer will now read the blank disk and begin the copying process. The length of the burning will depend on how many files you are copying
