Vista Won't Recognize a Blank DVD
- 1). Left click the Windows logo located on the task bar. Choose "Control Panel" from the right pane.
- 2). Click "Play CDs or other media automatically," located below "Hardware and Sound."
- 3). Check "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices." Expand the drop-down menu next to "Blank DVD." Choose an action from the options.
- 1). Log in to Windows Vista with administrative privileges. Click the Windows logo to open the Start menu.
- 2). Enter "regedit" into the "Start Search" field. Right click "regedit." Choose "Run as administrator" from the contextual menu.
- 3). Navigate through "HKEY_CURRENT_USER," "Software," "Microsoft," "Windows," "CurrentVersion" and "Policies." Click "Explorer."
- 4). Double click "NoCDBurning." Change the value to "0." Exit from Registry Editor and restart.
