Miniature Trees

Repurpose round wire tomato cages as frames for miniature Christmas trees to decorate the yard. Turn the cages upside down, secure them to the ground with U-shaped stakes and wrap the top points together with duct tape. String miniature holiday lights around the frame and attach the lights to the frame with twist ties.

Elf Door

Make a miniature elf door next to your front door and place a sign above it reading "Elves Only." Cut a door shape out of a piece of cardboard and paint it the same color as your front door. Cover another piece of cardboard with a towel or washcloth to make an elf door mat. Finish with a miniature wreath made from green chenille stems.

Candy Yard

Decorate your yard with giant imitations of popular candies. Wrap a pole or tree trunk in spiraling strands of red and white lights to make a candy cane. Cover a round flying disc in aluminum foil, wrap it in colored cellophane and tie the ends to make it look like a giant hard candy. Hang giant ribbon candies made by threading long strips of felt onto a string.
