Friendship Chain

• Discuss friendship with your preschoolers, asking them what friendship means to them. Cut out strips of white construction paper and give one to each student. Give the students crayons and have them decorate their strips any way that they want. Tell the students to write their names on the strips. Explain to your students that you are going to create a friendship chain. Staple the first strip so that it is a ring. Link the next strip to the first and staple. Continue this until you have one long chain to display in your classroom.
