How to Fix a Whisper Vacuum Belt
- 1). Unplug the Whisper Vacuum Cleaner from the wall. You do not want any electricity going to the vacuum while you are fixing the belt. Examine the broken vacuum belt to locate the serial numbers that will help you buy the correct replacement belt.
- 2). Remove the bottom of the vacuum cleaner--the part that holds the brush. This will entail unscrewing three screws; set these screws aside for later use.
- 3). Remove the brush from the bottom of the Whisper Vacuum Cleaner; you do this by unlatching the brush from the notches that hold it in place. Take the belt out by simply pulling it out. The belt is broken and so it should be in half, which will allow you to pull it out easily.
- 4). Install the new Whisper vacuum belt. Place one end of the belt over the brush and the other end over the drive shaft. You then place the brush back into place.
- 5). Put the bottom piece of the Whisper Vacuum back on. Screw the three screws back into the bottom. Your Whisper vacuum is now ready for use.
