We found them in a Google search, and they have a mobile-friendly Web site! We RV camped there in January 2011.

Describe your camping trip:

We borrowed my dad's motorhome for the weekend and called Camp Venice when we were at the beach. Casperson beach in Venice is beautiful! They booked us a site right on the waterfront. Lots of huge oak trees. We had our coffee on the picnic table behind the camper and watched an alligator chomp a turtle in the river right behind us!

Pros: Everything was great! Everyone was so nice, from the minute we got there at check in to everyone camping around us. The place is very natural with huge old trees throughout. The waterfront areas are like a Tarzan movie. Things were clean and neat. The hookups for the camper were easy to figure out. First time we ever used a camper, and our neighbor helped us a little!

Cons: Nothing. Just wish we had more time to stay.

Nearby attractions: There's a little bar and restaurant next door that's right on the water too. We walked over and had a burger and a beer there. The South beaches in Venice are long and natural. They're about 15 minutes away from the park.

Further comments: Really can't wait to go back again. We're even talking about buying our own camper now. It's our first time in a camper, and we had such a great time!
