Take the ceiling tile frame and put it on a flat surface. Using your measuring tape, mark down the numbers you recorded from the Step 1. Make sure to put them in order going clockwise. Put the measurements on the top and bottom of the frame.

On the bottom part of the frame (where the length is marked), go 1/2 inch longer on both sides of the line. Make sure to do this on all four lines. Using the small marks, extend it to make a triangle.

Using the tin snips, cut out and remove the triangle pieces.

Hold up the cut frame to the beam and gently bend the frame around the beam.

    • 6). Measure proper height and using the hammer secure the frame with nails.

    • 7). Measure the opening of the tracks, both top and bottom and mark the ceiling tile. If putting the measurements on the back of the tile, remember to put it on the correct side. If you do not put it on (as you are looking at the frame opening) the cut will be on the opposite side of where you need it.

Take measurements inside the frame (including the notch around the beam) and mark the ceiling tile. Make sure you mark and cut the correct side or the tile will be flipped.

    • 9). Install tile into the ceiling frame.
