How to Troubleshoot a Kero-Sun Kerosene Heater
- 1). Look at the fuel gauge and add clean kerosene if the tank is low and the wick won't light properly. Check the connections for loose wires and tighten if necessary, and replace the batteries. Drain the tank, add fresh kerosene and install a new wick if the other methods don't work.
- 2). Move the wire handle until the heating chamber is seated securely if the heater seems uneven or tilted and is producing smoke or odor. Turn the wick adjustment knob counterclockwise to lower the wick slightly. As an alternative, move the heater away from any drafts.
- 3). Plug the power cord into a proper 120-volt AC outlet and turn the switch to "On" if the fan is not working. Check for blown fuses or reset your circuit breaker if the other methods don't work.
