Glass breaks, chips and eventually needs to be replaced. When removing glass from your vehicle or home, you may need specific tools to prevent damaging the glass any further and causing injury to yourself. Tools can help make the process of glass removal quick and easy. - Removing glass from the nook of a vehicle window can be difficult. The help of specific blades designed to reach into the moulding and cut free shards of glass takes little time with minimal risk of injury. Blades are attached to a power tool that helps cut through the glass and free the piece for removal. There are serrated blades to help penetrate laminate windows and basic blades for traditional glass removal.
- The pull handle is a manual tool that has a long arm to reach down inside the door cavity and pull out broken glass. This is especially helpful when the window has broken into tiny shards that have dispersed inside of the door. The arm has different attachments to aid in the removal of various glass shard sizes.
- This small tool is used to free the door when locked or if the handle is jammed. The hand-held tool sits within the palm of your hand and is often comprised of steel. Apply the tool to the glass moulding and press down to initiate the door locking mechanism. This mechanism is also called the circlip. Once the circlip is engaged, the tool removes the device from the conflicting space, frees the door and then replaces the circlip to its proper position once the user is ready.
