    • 1). Check to make sure the washer is level if it is noisy, vibrating or seems to be off-balance. Use a level and check from side to side at the back and front of the machine and back to front on both sides. Also check to make sure the washer is installed on a sturdy and level floor. Another cause of noise could be that the shipping bolts in the back of the washer were not removed before installation. If there are foreign objects such as coins, or normal objects such as zippers, in the load, the washer could be noisy. Overloading and an unbalanced loads are other cause of noise.

    • 2). Check to see if the drain is clogged if your machine is leaking. If the drain is not blocked, make sure that it was installed correctly. Ascertain that the hose are installed properly and the connections tight. Another cause of leaking could be HE (high-energy) detergents, which can cause oversudsing and leakage from the rear of the washer. Finally, make sure you are putting the laundry products into the correct dispensers in the correct amounts.

    • 3). Leave the door open after the wash cycle is complete and avoid using HE detergents if you detect an odor coming from the inside of the washer.

    • 4). Make sure the power cord is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet and that the fuse has not blown or the circuit breaker tripped if the washing machine will not run. Do not use an extension cord with the washer as doing so could cause electrical hazards.

    • 5). Check to see that the door is firmly shut, a washing cycle has been selected, and the start button has been pushed if the washing cycle will not start.

    • 6). Examine the hose connections and make sure that you have water pressure in your home if the washer will not fill. The inlet valve screens could also be clogged, or the faucets turned off.

    • 7). Make sure the load of clothes in the washer is balanced and that the drain hose is not clogged if the washer will not drain or spin. Check that the drain hose and standpipe were installed correctly. Finally, make sure the washer is not overloaded.

    • 8). Watch out not to overload the washer if your clothes are not getting clean. Also make sure that you added enough detergent. Hard water or cold can make clothes look dingy. Try using more detergent; when washing instructions permit, wash clothes in warm water.

    • 9). Unload the washer as soon as the cycle is done if your clothes are wrinkled. Wrinkling can also be caused by overloading the washer, washing in cold water or on a low speed wash cycle.
