Carrie Underwood headlined the "Carnival Ride Tour" and co-headlined with Keith Urban the "Love, Pain & Whole Crazy Carnival Ride Tour." Between the two tours, she played to over 1,000,000 fans. The "Carnival Ride" tour was the #5 Country Tour of the Year, grossing over $21 million, over 72 dates, 45 of which were sell-outs. In May, Carrie became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. She added to her trophy case, bringing home the American Music Award for Best Country Album for Carnival Ride, a Grammy for Country Female Vocal Performance on "Before He Cheats," the ACM Female Vocalist and CMA Female Vocalist Awards.
She also co-hosted the CMA Awards show with Brad Paisley. Plus, earned two BMI Country Awards for her songwriting on "All-American Girl" and "So Small." She charted three No. 1 songs, with "All-American Girl," "Last Name" and "Just a Dream." The three songs spent a total of 5 weeks at the top of the charts.
