My Printer Issues Were Effectively Taken Care of!
It was the financial year closing in our company and I was preparing the reports on my computer. It was nearly midnight. I had decided to sit back at the office and work till late as I had to compile all the data. There was this year-end board meeting in the morning for which I was to prepare the report. By 1:00am I was all set to take the printouts of the final report. Before taking the prints, I called up Edward, my husband and asked him to pick me up. He told me he would be there in 15 minutes.
After I spoke to him, I went back to my seat to take the printouts. It turned out to be my worst live nightmare. The printouts would just not come! I tried to check the printer for any lose cables etc. but they looked pretty good to me. But I could not get the printer to print. It kept telling me that the printer is not connected when it was very much connected to the computer on my workstation. I was in a big mess.
It was almost 15 minutes and Edward had reached the office to pick me up. But I wasn't done yet. He called me up, and I told me the entire matter. He then gave me a number to call on for some computer support company which operates 24X7. So, immediately, I dialed in the number that he gave me. I was connected to a technician, to whom I explained the problem I was having with my printer. He told me that he could fix the issue, but before that I had to pay a certain amount and register with them, which I did. Then he asked me if he could connect to my computer remotely. I allowed him to and he performed some steps on my computer. After which I was able to take all the printouts without any hassle. I thanked him numerous times, wrapped up for the day and went home with Edward satisfied, for all the work was done.
