How to Reinstall My Acer Aspire 4220 System
- 1). Navigate to the Desktop and click the "eRecovery Management" icon in the green Acer widget near the top of the screen. The "eRecovery Management" icon shows an image of a CD with an arrow pointing toward it. If you have turned off the Acer widget, navigate instead to the "Start" menu and click "All Programs," "Acer" and "eRecovery Management."
- 2). Click the "Restore" icon located at the bottom of the recovery window and to the left of the "Burn Disc" icon. Click the option at the top of the screen labeled "Restore system to factory default."
- 3). Type your Acer recovery password in the "Password" text box. A different window will appear if you haven't set a password previously. Type your desired password in the first box and retype the same password in the second box. Click "OK."
- 4). Click "OK" to start the recovery process. Click "Next" at each prompt and wait for the laptop to restart after the operating system finishes reinstalling.
