The experiences that many people from all walks of life have had with genuine mediums was impossible to deny.
The Church ironically put up the idea that there was no scientific proof, although they could not in all conscience deny that their own beliefs have no scientific proof either.
It is fascinating that Archbishop Lang, one of the authors of the report, is recorded as communicating after his death through Leslie Flint, the famous direct-voice medium who operated in London for over fifty years.
In that message the former Archbishop apologized for his part in suppressing the report.

There can be problems with communications from the other side, and of course the skeptics have emphasised these to an extreme.
Both the church and science, and indeed large parts of society, have battered the reputation of psychics so brutally and relentlessly that many ordinary people are afraid to even mention the subject.
Fear is perhaps the biggest enemy of mankind.
It is Fear that creates demons and devils that have no actual independent reality of their own.
There is no Devil.
All such dark creatures are invented by Fear in the imagination.
As such, they have a certain kind of reality, but do not exist as beings outside of fearful Thought.
In several sessions with different high-quality mediums I have found only Love and Light, and astonishing accuracy.
When I began my search I was as skeptical as anybody, but I soon found the evidence was undeniable.
I am not stupid, and I know there are fake mediums out there.
Everything real can be imitated.
This does not mean the real thing does not exist.
I am not a spiritualist in religious terms as they include among their beliefs the idea of retribution for sin, which is not something that really happens.
We are beings having an evolutionary experience; we are not sinners.
There are no dead people.
Death is a doorway to a new dimension of Life.
Our loved ones passed over are not asleep, whether in the arms of Jesus or anywhere else.
Their personalities are not extinct.
They are more alive than ever and fully aware of more than we are.
They can see us and help us on our earth journey, until we inevitably join them in the same loving relationships as before.
They have bodies already, so are not waiting for some mythical resurrection at the end of time.
These distortions of reality have been very damaging to our progress in evolving the human race to greater heights.
I only emphasize these points in the light of overwhelming evidence that is available to anybody if we search it out.
I personally was buried in traditional thought for many years unable to venture out of accepted theories, but I was then astounded that so much evidence was already available.
