It"s Just Your Imagination
Has anyone ever said to you, "Oh, you're just imagining things.
"? Or perhaps as a child you were sharing your fantastical story and an adult told you it wasn't real - and your story came crashing to the ground, deflated? It's unfortunate because, "Your imagination is the concept of Spirit within you; it's the God within you.
" (Wayne Dyer) So when people taught you not to use your imagination, they were stifling your creative spirit, your connection to source, and your dream machine.
Who is to say that our imagination isn't real? What is real, anyway? Is it any less real to have an imaginary friend as a child, than it is to chat on a social network with someone we have never met in person? Clearly one is tangible and touchable, while the other is not.
But is one any less impactful, meaningful, or valuable than the other? Our American society is quick to teach children the difference between real and imagined, to squash kids' belief in imaginary friends and fantastical adventures, only to reward adults who can write magical stories like Harry Potter or create fantasy worlds in game technology.
It is the imaginations of people like the scientists working on disease research and the inventors who dream of new technologies that excite and inspire us.
And we have become eager implementors of everything new and improved.
So perhaps the reason we as a society are so fascinated with new creations and the fantasy realm now is because our imaginations are coming back! If that's the case, then let's begin to use our imaginations to create world peace, feed everyone on the planet, house and clothe those who desire it, treat animals kindly, and restore our planet to health...
after all, the sky isn't even the limit when we come from imagination and inspiration! I encourage you to tap into your creative font, your invisible connection to All That Is, your connection to God, by using your imagination more freely, more frequently, and more vividly.
And when we all do this, who knows what kind of world we will dream up?! Just imagine...
