How to Make a Swarovski Wedding Necklace

    • 1). Measure and cut a piece of jewelry chain to 10 inches long with a pair of wire cutters. Use the type of chain that has links with openings that are about 1/8 inch wide.

    • 2). Divide the chain into five segments -- four segments that are 1 1/2 inches long, and one segment that is 4 inches long. Cut the segments at these measurements with the wire cutters.

    • 3). Slip a 6mm round crystal Swarovski bead onto an eye pin in the same color of metal as the jewelry chain. Slide the bead all the way down against the loop at the end of the eye pin. Cut the eye pin 1/4 inch above the other side of the bead.

    • 4). Grip the end of the eye pin you just cut in the end of a pair of round-nose pliers. Rotate the pliers to form a loop in the eye pin against the bead on the opposite side as the other loop. Do not close the loop yet.

    • 5). Bend the other loop on the eye pin open with the pliers by pulling the open end to the side slightly, just enough to slip it onto one of the ends of the chain segments. Bend the loop shut again.

    • 6). Slip the open loop on the other end of the bead onto the end of a different chain segment. Repeat this process until you have attached the chain segments together with the beaded eye pins -- two of the 1 1/2-inch long segments on the ends and the 4-inch-long segment in the middle.

    • 7). Place the crystal beaded chain horizontally in front of you on your work table and find the center link on the 4-inch-long segment. Open a jump ring by pulling the open ends away from each other with flat-nose pliers and slip one of the open ends into the the center link on the chain. Do not close the jump ring yet. Open two more jump rings using the same technique.

    • 8). Attach a Swarovski crystal pendant to a bail by sticking the prongs on the bail into either side of the hole at the top of the pendant. Clamp the prongs tightly and securely into the holes by squeezing on either side with a pair of flat-nose pliers.

    • 9). Slip the open end of the jump ring into the loop at the top of the bail. Close the jump ring by bending the ends back together.

Feed the open ends of the other two jump rings onto the last links on either side of the beaded necklace chain. Slip the loops on either side of a lobster clasp through the jump rings and close the jump rings. Put on the necklace by opening and closing the two sides of the clasp.
