How to Hunt Deer in Warm Weather
- 1). Wear lightweight hunting clothes to increase comfort in warm weather. Clothing designed to lessen or cover the hunter's scent is more important in warm weather due to sweating.
- 2). Use unscented insect repellent to fend off the bugs that the warm weather may bring out. Most bug spray has a strong odor that deer can smell from a long distance.
- 3). Remember to bring along plenty of water to stay hydrated. Sipping water throughout the day will help you stay in top physical condition.

Identify sources of water and mark them on the map. Natural springs that provide cool water and flow out of hillsides are ideal. Don't forget man-made sources of water that are common near livestock. - 2). Examine the map and determine which sources of water are located closest to known bedding and feeding areas.

Choose a hunting location that is close to the water source and along expected travel routes to and from bedding and feeding areas. Deer are generally wary coming to an exposed water source and you will probably have more luck catching them along the trail, where they are not so cautious.
