Homemade Portable Deer Blinds
- 1). Select five wooden branches approximately 5 feet in length and between 2 to 3 inches thick.
- 2). Use a wood saw to make a flat cut on one end of each 5-foot branch. Sharpen the other ends of the branches with a knife to form a point.
- 3). Place the branches in the desired hunting area, so they form a circle 5 to 6 feet in diameter. The branches should be equidistant from each other.
- 4). Use a rubber mallet to drive the pointed ends into the ground.
- 5). Cover the poles with camouflage netting by draping the netting over the top of the branches to form the deer blind.
- 6). Use a hunting knife to cut out shooting windows in the netting between two poles. Make a small window between each pair of poles for a total of five shooting windows.
- 7). Roll the netting and remove the branches from the ground when the hunt is over. Place the netting, branches and rubber mallet in a firewood carrier to transport the deer blind to next hunting location.
