    • 1). Pry the radiator hose retaining clip off the intake tube of the thermostat housing with a flat-head screwdriver and then pull the radiator hose off the intake tube.

    • 2). Remove the thermostat housing from the intake manifold of the Camry by removing the two bolts that hold it into place and then by pulling upward on the housing. This exposes the thermostat inside the intake manifold.

    • 3). Lift upward on the thermostat to remove it from the intake manifold. Pull the thermostat gasket off the intake manifold and discard both items.

    • 4). Place the new thermostat into the intake manifold and secure the thermostat by resting it on the lip that rests just below the radiator fluid level.

    • 5). Place a bead of RTV silicone gasket maker around the bottom edge of the thermostat housing and then bolt the thermostat housing back onto the intake manifold of the Camry.

    • 6). Slide the radiator hose back onto the intake tube of the thermostat housing and secure it, using the retaining clip.
