Small Earthquakes in Beverly Hills - I Told You So
Well, there's a lot of controversy concerning the underground subway which is being built under Beverly Hills High School to bring people to Century City to work.
Yes, having such a subway system with a stop right there will certainly help people get to those jobs and also alleviate some of the nightmarish traffic around the area.
Of course, subways also are an invitation to terrorist plotting individuals, so many of the people that live in Beverly Hills are not too sold on the idea, who can blame them, it is a Jewish community for the most part.
Of course, this new controversy is just a continuation of other issues such as the tainted groundwater from the oil drilling on the same site, yes, there is an oil derrick on the grounds at Beverly Hills High School, something you don't see very often outside of Texas.
Oh, and if you're into conspiracy theories, I might have another one for you because the Associated Press posted an article on September 4, 2012 titled; "Small Quakes, No Injuries Reported in Beverly Hills, CA," which told of a USGS report of 3.
3 magnitude.
Does this mean people were using fracking techniques to get more oil from under the ground there? After all, fracking is known to cause very small earthquakes, and 3.
3 magnitude is a tiny quake.
Or, was the extra blasting and drilling to build a new subway the cause of this earthquake? Let the lawsuits fly in the land of lawyers I say, and you can bet the environmental impact reports will take decades to sort out if these low rumbling earthquakes continue.
In fact, the lawsuits from the tainted water which has been a known challenge for three decades now, with all sorts of unfortunate cancers, and cancer clusters from students who had attended that high school, and probably drank the water from the well on the sports field or in the school.
It seems rather odd that there was a small earthquake under Beverly Hills California, but if they have been drilling oil there for years, it's bound to occur.
Are they using new fracking technologies to get more oil out of those wells today? It's hard to say, and no one who isn't in the know really knows, and those who are apparently are not saying; sound familiar? Of course, if those drilling the tunnel for the underground subway have anything to do with it, they aren't going to mention it either, therefore we are at an impasse, and apparently the courts will decide as the lawyers battle it out for the next decade.
