How to Reload the .41 Remington Mag
- 1). Inspect cases for splitting, bulges or any other irregularities. Discard any that may cause loading problems or that are damaged to the point of not being usable. Clean and lightly lubricate the cases using an automatic case cleaner or a lightly oiled cloth. Do not use water.
- 2). Use a resizing die in your press to re-size the case to avoid feeding problems. Most resizing dies remove the primer during this process, but if not use a de-priming tool to eject the spent primer. Seat a CCI 350 primer securely in the case using a hand primer or primer die in the press.
- 3). Measure out the proper amount of powder using a powder scale. For a 200 grain .410 bullet to travel 1,290 feet per second (fps), charge the case with 20 grains of powder. 22 grains will increase the speed to 1,412 fps. Do not exceed or go below the recommended amount of powder for the cartridge.
- 4). Use your press to seat the .410 bullet into the properly re-sized case. Adjust your seating die to crimp the case, which is highly recommended for revolver cartridges and the well-being of revolver cylinders after firing.
