    • 1). Click the Windows server "Start" button. Type "iismgr.msc" into the text box and press "Enter." This opens the main console for your Web host.

    • 2). Click the Web host server name you want to edit. In the "Actions" menu, click "View Virtual Directories." Click the "Actions" menu item again and click "Add Virtual Directory." This opens a configuration window.

    • 3). Type an alias name in the opened dialog window. Click the "Browse" button and point the virtual directory to the physical directory location on your Web server hard drive. Click "OK."

    • 4). Click "Next." In the summary window, click "Test Settings." A confirmation window appears to confirm that the settings are working properly. Click "OK" to create the virtual host directory and close the wizard.
