Make Sure the Ruger LCP is Unloaded

First, make sure the Ruger LCP is unloaded. To do this, point the barrel in a safe direction and push the magazine latch in to release the magazine, then pull the slide and push the manual slide lock lever up to hold the slide in an open position. Visually check and see if there are any rounds in the chamber.
