    • 2). Loosen the negative battery terminal connector with the battery wrench and remove the negative battery cable from the battery.

    • 3). Find the map sensor on the passenger side wheel well just behind the brake fluid reservoir. Look for the small back box with a vacuum line connected to the top of it and a two-wire plug installed to the front of it.

    • 4). Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the map sensor by squeezing the tab and pulling it straight off the sensor without pulling on the wires.

    • 5). Disconnect the vacuum line attached to the top of the sensor by twisting it slightly and pulling it straight off the inlet nipple.

    • 6). Remove the two mounting bolts with the socket and ratchet and slide the sensor off the map sensor bracket.

    Installation

    • 1). Slide the map sensor onto the map sensor bracket and install the two mounting bolts. Tighten the mounting bolts to 89 inch-pounds with the small torque wrench.

    • 2). Spray down the engine wiring harness connector with electrical cleaner and allow it to dry. Install a small amount of dielectric grease into the wiring harness plug and install the wiring harness plug into the map sensor.

    • 3). Inspect the vacuum hose for any cracks or damage and replace as necessary. Install the vacuum line onto the nipple on the map sensor by sliding it onto the nipple until the hose sits flush the the map sensor case.

    • 4). Place the negative battery terminal onto the the battery and tighten the negative battery terminal with the battery wrench.
