The Seats Won't Move in My Jeep Liberty
- 1). Open the doors -- front and back -- on the Liberty. Clean away all debris from the front and back of the seats. Bend down with a flashlight and look at the metal runners on the Liberty.
- 2). Remove any pencils, pens, coins, rods or items that are on the runners, thus preventing the seat from sliding on the runners. Push the slider bar under the front of the seats and push the seat back to check the fix.
- 3). Spray degreaser onto the rag and wipe off the runners. Let the runners dry and then add three to four drops of 3-in-1 oil to each runner. Slide the seat back and forth to lubricate the runners and seat bar.
- 4). Store gear and baggage away form the backs of the seats and runners to prevent the seats from sticking.
