    • 1). Spray the lubricant with the solvent of your choice. Put on the rubber gloves.

    • 2). Dip the old toothbrush into the bucket of hot water. Make this water as hot as possible. The combination of hot water to heat up the lubricant and the solvent to break down the silicone lubricant work together to remove the substance.

    • 3). Scrub the silicone lubricant until it is removed. Rinse the toothbrush thoroughly in the hot water to remove all the grease and soap. You may have to repeat scrubbing with the toothbrush several times.

    • 4). Rinse the area with hot water. Allow to air dry or towel dry as desired.
