How to Split a PDF File into Multiple PDF Files
- 1). Double-click the PDF you want to split. PDFs are symbolized by a square icon showing a small preview of the PDF's first page and the red square Adobe icon symbol.
- 2). Click the "Pages" link on the left side panel of the PDF window if the page preview is not showing. The page preview shows a listing of each page of the PDF in vertical format.
- 3). Press and hold down the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard. Click once on each page of the PDF to strip out or remove. These are pages you do not want in the new PDF. Press the "Delete" key on the keyboard.
- 4). Click the "File" menu. Click "Save a Copy." Rename the PDF, such as "NewPDF1." Select a place to save the new PDF and click the "Save" button. Click the "File" menu and select "Close."
- 5). Reopen the original PDF, the one with all the pages. Repeat the "Pages" link deletion process to strip out pages for the next version of the PDF. When saving, rename the file with a new file name, such as "NewPDF2," and increments from there on.
