How to Prepare Ham Steaks
- 1). Preheat the frying pan or grill over medium heat or set a broiler on high.
- 2). Pan fry the ham steak for three to eight minutes per side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees in the thickest portion of the meat.
- 3). Broil or grill the ham steak for three to six minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 4). Serve the ham steak whole or cube it for adding to soups, stews or salads. You can add a glaze for extra flavor.
