How to Change the Name of a Mounted Drive
- 1). Turn on your computer and open "Computer Management." To do so, click the "Start" menu followed by "Control Panel," "System and Maintenance," "Administrative Tools" and "Computer Management."
- 2). Click "Disk Management." This is located in the navigation pane under "Storage."
- 3). Locate the mounted drive you want to change. In the "Disk Management" menu, a list of all drives, partitions and mounted drives are listed.
- 4). Right-click the mounted drive and select "Change drive letter and path."
- 5). Select "Change" and then rename the mounted drive. After you have renamed the drive, click "OK" to save your settings.
