How to Get Rid of a Beard Scruff
- 1). Fill a sink with hand-hot water. Place the shaving brush in the water to soak until you are ready to use it.
- 2). Splash your face with water from the sink to dampen the skin and open pores.
- 3). Massage a few drops of pre-shave oil into your whiskers.
- 4). Remove the brush from the sink and let the excess water drain off the bristles.
- 5). Swirl the ends of the bristles in an open tub of shaving cream until you work up a lather.
- 6). Apply a thick layer of shaving lather to your face and neck in an up-and-down painting motion.
- 7). Sweep the blade over an area of scruff in a single downward stroke in the direction of hair growth, without applying any pressure to the blade.
- 8). Shave the entire face and neck area in the same way. Avoid passing over the same patch of hair more than once unless absolutely necessary.
- 9). Splash your face with cold water to remove leftover shaving cream and close pores. Pat your skin dry with a towel.
- 10
Lightly massage a post-shave moisturizer over your face and neck.
