How to Replace Datsun Wiper Motor

    • 1). Pull the wiper arm away from the windshield until the arm hinge locks.

    • 2). Remove the retaining nuts on the wiper arm and pull the wiper arm off.

    • 3). Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal. Loosen the nut on the negative battery cable clamp and slide the clamp off the battery terminal.

    • 4). Remove the screws holding the cowl in place at the base of the windshield.

    • 5). Pull the cowl off.

    • 6). Remove the nut that holds the wiper motor to the wiper arm pivot assembly.

    • 7). Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts.

    • 8). Remove the wiper motor assembly and disconnect the power plug running to the back of the wiper motor.

    • 9). Install the new wiper motor. Installation is the reverse of removal.
