How to Measure for Mink Fur Jackets
- 1). Instruct the woman you are measuring for a mink coat to stand straight with legs slightly apart.
- 2). Measure hip size by wrapping a measuring tape around the fullest part of the hips. Make a note of the size in inches when the measuring tape meets the starting point.
- 3). Measure waistline by wrapping the measuring tape around the smallest portion of the waist and writing down the number.
- 4). Wrap the measuring tape around the chest at the fullest part. Wrap it underneath the arms and around the back. Move arms straight to the side once you have the tape wrapped.
- 5). Run the measuring tape from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other from the back to obtain the correct cross-back measurement.
- 1). Stand with legs slightly apart and arms extended out parallel to the ground.
- 2). Bend the arm at the elbow and touch the nose with one finger. Place the start of the measuring tape at the center of the neck and measure the distance to the elbow.
- 3). Measure the distance from elbow to wrist and write down that measurement; add these two measurements together for the correct sleeve length.
