How to Use a Char Broil H20 Smoker Deluxe
- 1). Plug the temperature controller into the heating element . Place three or four damp wood chunks or 1½ cups of damp wood chips on and around the element.
- 2). Place the smoker body on the base and install the water pan. Pour 1 gallon of water, marinade or other liquid into the pan.
- 3). Arrange the food on the cooking grates with space between each piece. Large cuts of meat or foods that take longer to cook should go on the bottom grate.

Set the controller knob to the desired temperature and put the smoker's lid in place. Once the thermometer in the lid has reached the ideal setting--medium-high for most foods--adjust the controller to hold that temperature. - 5). Keep the lid closed and allow the Char-Broil H20 Smoker to cook undisturbed for the minimum cooking time, or for 4 hours. Check the wood chips and liquid level and replenish them every 4 hours as needed.
- 6). Use a meat thermometer to determine when the food is done. Light-colored meats such as pork and poultry may appear smoked even though they are not fully cooked.
