How to Make Fonts Bigger & Change Their Colors

    Word 2007 Windows

    • 1). Open the Word file that you want to change.

    • 2). Highlight the text that you want to change. Hold down the left click button on your mouse and run your cursor over the text, which will highlight the text.

    • 3). Click the "Home" tab at the top of the Word interface.

    • 4). Hit the arrow next to the capital "A" with a thick red bar in the tool bar. A pallet of colors will be displayed. Click on the color that you want your font. If you later decide you don;t like the color, you can go back to this step and change it.

    • 5). Hit the arrow next to the number in the field next to the font name. This is your font size. Click a number larger than the one in the box. This will make your font bigger. Again, if you do not like the result, you can redo this step to change it.

    TextEdit Mac

    • 1). Open the text document that you want to change.

    • 2). Highlight the text that you want to change. Hold down the left click button on your mouse and run your cursor over the text, which will highlight the text.

    • 3). Click "Format" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Font." Click on the middle box at the top of the dialog box that appears. It has a capital "T" in it. A new box will appear.

    • 4). Find a color that you like on the circle color palette. Click on it. Hit the small circle in the upper left corner of the window when you are finished.

    • 5). Choose a size larger than the one indicated in the box right below the word "Size" with the menu of sizes. Scroll down to get larger sizes. View the changes on the document. If you do not like the result, you can redo this step to change it.

    • 6). Click the small circle in the upper left corner of the window. It will close.

    Open Office

    • 1). Open the text document that you want to change.

    • 2). Highlight the text that you want to change. Hold down the left click button on your mouse and run your cursor over the text, which will highlight the text.

    • 3). Click the arrow next to the number in the toolbar above the document. Find a number that is larger than the one in the box next to the arrow. This will make your font larger. If you later decide you don't like the size, you can go back to this step and change it.

    • 4). Hit the arrow next to the capital "A" with a thick red bar in the tool bar. A pallet of colors will be displayed. Click on the color that you want your font. If you want to pick a new color, you can go back to this step and change it.

    • 5). View the new color and size of your font.
