    • 1). Go to the Apple website to download the latest free version of the iTunes application (see Resources section). Click on the "Download Now" button and then on "Save" in the confirmation pop-up to accept the download of the set-up file. Once the file is saved to your hard drive, double-click it to open and then follow step-by-step instructions of the installation wizard to install the software to your computer.

    • 2). Connect your iPod Nano to your computer via the enclosed USB cable. The iTunes application will start automatically and will prompt you to register the iPod. Click on "Register Later" button to proceed to copying files.

    • 3). Click on the "File" menu option in the iTunes application window and then select "Add File to Library" option. Browse to the location on your hard drive where you had stored a music file and double-click it to add to the iTunes library.

    • 4). Repeat this process for all of the music files on your computer that you want to put on your iPod Nano. If you have stored all of your music files in the same folder, then you should choose "Add Folder to Library" instead in Step 3.

    • 5). Click on your iPod's name in the left pane of the iTunes window and then click on "Sync" in the right pane to begin copying the iTunes library with your music files to your iPod.

    • 6). Click on the "Eject" button in the left pane of the application when syncing is done and disconnect your iPod Nano.
