How to Make a Butterfly for Preschool
- 1). Trace an outline of the child's hand two times on each of three pieces of colored construction paper.
- 2). Cut out the handprints and set aside.
- 3). Paint a brown circle for the butterfly's head and a long oval for its body on a piece of construction paper oriented in the landscape direction.
- 4). Glue three hand prints to the left side of the body, fingers pointing out, for the wings. Repeat on the right side.
- 5). Bend a pipe cleaner into a "V" and staple to the top of the head.
- 6). Coil the ends of the pipe cleaner.
- 7). Glue two googly eyes onto the head.
- 8). Color the wings with dots or other designs.
