Creating Abundance by Getting Creative

If you have recently learned of the Law of Attraction or have recently read 'the Secret', good for you.
You're off to a great start.
Since you've begun a new journey in your life, you need to have a way of keeping in touch with your creative side and tracking your progress.
It can be extremely beneficial to take up a creative hobby when trying to make changes for yourself because engaging in these sorts of things frees up your mind.
Most people experience trouble initially believing that they can make positive changes in their life.
This is because they've lived for years being very unhappy and frustrated with their life situation or condition.
Painting, sculpting or even playing a musical instrument can help you tap into that creative side of yourself that will help you understand that change is possible.
A friend of mine is a computer programmer and he and his wife recently read the law of attraction.
His wife owns her own interior design company and she has been making great strides incorporating the Law into her life.
For her, the changes seem natural because her profession forces her to constantly think outside the box.
Design is a creative field and so she lives her life by less structured rules than her husband the programmer.
He hasn't done anything with his life since reading the book even though he wants to get in shape and work on getting a promotion at work.
I've seen this with a few other people I know as well.
The pattern seems to repeat itself.
Creative people or people who engage in creative hobbies or jobs seem more capable of applying the law than others.
You may wonder why their exists this sharp contrast in ability to change between creative and non-creative folks.
Basically, a person who is constantly engaged in tasks that are routing, methodical and procedural in nature never has to think on their feet.
People like this are great at following rules, but terrible at solving unusual problems such as making a major career change or sticking with a fitness program.
This takes them out of their comfort zone.
Creative people, on the other hand, are used to this sort of dynamic because that's where they thrive.
I encourage you to take time to get involved with something creative.
For me it was carving.
My husband carves little wood ducks and so I thought maybe I'd try my hand at making something myself.
While it was difficult at first, after a few weeks I found it quite fun and very satisfying.
While I'm not near as skilled as my husband, I've come a long way and this allows me to flex my creative muscle.
