How to Make a Wireless Booster
- 1). Place a sheet of newspaper on a table. Open the pop-top of the soda can. Pour out the soda. Place the soda can on the newspaper with the pop-top facing up.
- 2). Remove the top of the soda can with the can opener. Dispose of the lid.
- 3). Pour two drops of dishwashing liquid into the can. Wash out the can in the kitchen sink with tap water. Dry the can with a paper towel.
- 4). Place the can on the newspaper with the open end facing up.
- 5). Measure 4 inches up from the bottom of the can. Cut a hole in the side of the can at the 4-inch mark with the blade of the utility knife. Rotate the utility knife's blade around the inside of the hole to enlarge the hole so that it is wide enough for the router's Wi-Fi antenna to go through.
- 6). Place the tip of the router's Wi-Fi antenna through the hole in the side of the can. Aim the open end of the can -- now a Wi-Fi booster -- in the direction of the devices that are using the wireless router's Wi-Fi signal.
