Quicken Won't Print on a Dell Printer
- 1). Make sure your printer is on and that it is connected to your computer. Check the connections to make sure nothing's loose.
- 2). Open another program on your computer using the "Start" menu. For example, open Microsoft Word. Then open a document using the "File" and "Open" commands.
- 3). Select "File" and then "Print" from the new program. Wait to see whether your Dell prints this document. Quicken Support advises calling Dell at this point if the printer does not print. If you can print the document, the problem lies with Quicken, so continue troubleshooting.
- 4). Navigate back to Quicken and click "File," then "Printer Setup," then "For checks, reports or invoices."
- 5). Ensure your Dell printer is selected in this box. If not, click the button to add a printer and click on the name of your Dell printer. Click "OK" to save the changes and close the box.
- 6). Select "File," then "Print," to try printing again. If there was a problem with the printer settings, your Quicken report should now print. If the report does not print, Quicken Support recommends uninstalling and then reinstalling the program on your computer since another program may be interfering with Quicken's ability to print.
- 7). Select "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu, then "Add or Remove Programs."
- 8). Choose Quicken from the list of programs and select "Remove." Wait while your computer uninstalls Quicken.
