How to Remove the Door Panel on a '99 Dodge Pickup
- 1). Open the door and roll the window all the way down. Remove the window crank, if you have manual windows. The crank handle has a screw in the center of it, underneath a cap.
- 2). Remove the screws that attach the trim panel to the door, using a socket or screwdriver. Depending on the interior options, the screws may be hidden under a fold of material on the door panel. There may also be a screw in the grab cup -- if so, remove it. If you have electric windows, pry the window switch bezel up and unplug the wiring harness connectors for the windows and door lock.
- 3). Lift the bottom of the panel upward and outward at the same time to release the retainer steps from the inner door panel. Before pulling the panel all the way off, unplug the speaker and heated mirror wiring harness connectors.
- 4). Reach through the access hole and unclip the inside handle linkage from the inside handle. Lift the door panel the rest of the way off the door.
