How to Transfer Data to a MicroSD Card
- 1). Insert your MicroSD card into the card slot on your computer if your unit comes with a built-in card reader. If your computer does not have a reader, insert the MicroSD card into the device you are using it with (cell phone, media player), then connect that device to your computer using a USB cable.
- 2). Double-click "Computer" on the desktop to launch a Windows Explorer window. Your card is listed as a removal disk in the "Drives" section. If you are using a Mac, your card is listed as a removal disk on the desktop.
- 3). Double-click your card's removal disk. A new window launches. Drag files from your computer to your card's removal disk window.
- 4). Close your card's disk window when you finish. Click the "Safely remove hardware" icon on the taskbar, click your card's disk, and then click "Stop." When prompted, unplug your device or remove your MicroSD card. If you are using a Mac, drag your card's disk from the desktop to the trash bin. Unplug your device or remove your MicroSD card.
